Brandon Boswell put out a video regarding the titanium nibs on Remarkable 2. It apparentlyh resulted in his stylus not working at all, with any nib. Before making this change, I recommend watching his video.

So interesting, yeah, I found that the remarkable marker has a different pressure sensitivity and that made sketching on the remarkable not as good with 3rd party pens. I wonder if that's a purposeful decision they have made. I think I'll give this a miss on remarkable, but I think certainly for one of the Boox note line might be a winner!

I used the Healing Shield Screen Protector from Amazon on my Boox Note Air 3C and found no issues using Titanium nibs or the Supernote stylus, I get shading using the pencil selection with all the nib types. Awhile back I bought a Boox Note Air 3c. It felt like writing on a whiteboard. Plus the workflow and support for extensive writing just was not very good IMHO. And the thing weighs a ton. I returned it (eating about $100 in the process). I'm waiting for the Supernote A5X2 and hoping that solves those issues. It sounds like the feel of the writing is pretty good.

I do worry about Supernote's longevity if they don't pursue a subscription model somewhere (cloud stuff, for example). Right now they are merely making money off of the device itself. That's dangerous if the market stagnates or even shrinks due to competition. Or if the market becomes saturated.

I agree with everything. I got the new QuietComforts due to a warranty return on the QC 45's. I learned from a support rep @ Bose that they are sending customers the new Quiet Comforts (not to be confused with the Ultra) on most warranty return of QC 45's. I didn't expect this but it was a welcomed surprise. However, the BOSE music app which is advertised to now sync with these new QuietComforts does not work for me. I tried EVERYTHING and still no go. When I say I've tried everything I mean EVERYTHING and yes with all of the suggestions from BOSE and others online. Curious if anybody else out there has the same issue? For me, the sound is great and my main objective when I originally bought the QC 45's was to have the best noise cancelling. I have it. Still very disappointed that I am unable to connect to the music app. Interestingly, the older (and more or less rendered useless in 2024) BOSE connect app displays my new QuietComforts immediately but with a message saying "Please download the BOSE Music App for this device". Gee thanks, it doesn't connect. To Bose's credit I COULD return these once more (since the BOSE Music App) won't "find" this pair but I just don't have the courage to do that and be without my QC's for even a day (let alone the 8 days or so it takes -- UPS ground each way and 1 or 2 days at the BOSE return facility in Arizona = roughly 8 days). And yes before anyone asks I did make sure I downloaded the very latest BOSE Music App and YES I did go into Bluetooth permissions and allow for all the permissions necessary. Im a computer guy. I know these things. The app doesn't work with these! NOW, heres a theory......COULD it be possible that BOSE doesn't allow for the connection to the BOSE Music App with any of the QC 45 warranty returns (which remember we've established they are sending out new QuietComforts NOT QC 45's in these cases)? Kinda makes sense (sorta not completely) because my QC 45's were not advertised to work with the app. They simply do not. Was BOSE trying to send me a pair of Quiet Comforts with the exact same specs as my old 45's? Why would they do this though? Is this a possibility? Anybody with thoughts please reply. THANKS! )

A light of some sort would be a good accessory. That light pen is cool. You have some good ideas there.

3:22 it looks like you did a video on that foldable keyboard. Would you have the link to that? Was eyeing something very similar and would be interested to know your thoughts on it with the nomad!

In short: *Plastic screen* like Fujitsu Quadro, but unbreakable. Cheaper, light and little small: Students, engineers and *researchers*. Pro version: Business class/ elite group. Little *light* as Remarkable1. Most important: *400 ppi* and *word "search"* option (which can be a software upgrade, not an issue of new version). Some drawing features like *layers* option. I also personally don't prefer colour option, because for that other tablets and ipads etc. are available. Only *2 colours* can be okay (one light colour for highlighter). It's a *productivity* tool not an entertainment tool. I would prefer *split screen* option (can be added in software update, not an issue).

Just returned my A6X2, too small and I kept bumping the gestures while writing which was super frustrating. For me, I noticed that the Remarkable is the standard by which all other tablets are compared... Once I acquired and used the RM2 for a few days I understood why. Happy RM2 user for now.

Totally agree. The Nomad should be a secondary device, not a primary one. Excellent for a laptop companion, like you pointed out. Very good video!

If you are curious about pricing I did a bit of research and it should roughly be ~$200 USD difference depending on the version. Also take a look at what notebook you currently take notes in and evaluate your sizing needs, that's my best advice 📘

🙋‍♂Hi Vladimir! Sorry I missed the Livestream due to work, I could not make it in time. My issues with this device so far is the price, and the greenish yellow tint. I am not affected by sleep pattern issues, nor by light or coffee, so for me white light make no difference. I am also, curious about the writing experience as I am not sure if this will have a Wacom support. The battery life for a capacitive pen and the device overall is concerning. For the price they are looking at, this will become a hard sell for me. At present, the Boox Go 10.3 is something seriously I am looking at, and the price is very favorable. great livestream, your point about how it should've been a phone was great, the product I see right now just feels like a worse tablet and with not many advantages when compared to the function e-ink devices have, but if it was a phone instead all of its qualities would shine, not needing a backlight most times and having huge battery life while being very smooth to use would be amazing on a phone

Great video! Can the standard push-up pen be disassembled to try putting the nib in a regular pen? (I‘m thinking like a Pilot Juice or Jetstream.) Or would I need to buy the single tip to try different pen bodies?

for Europeans: do not buy unless you have a CC. for once, essential functions are only covered by the annual subscription, like data syncing, though you get a year free, you need to have a CC right away, otherwise those functions cannot be used. given the price tag, the superb competition, its just deceiving, a rip off.

How is the size compared to RM2 for notetaking. I will mainly use it for taking notes in meetings and annotate pdf. I have owned a RM2, but want a supernote. Will the Nomad be to small?

Hi Vladimir (or anyone ;-), just a quick question. On a 3rd party template, lets say a journal, or daily affirmations or whatever you write into each day that has a design set out and isn't a blank page, can you type directly onto it, move the cursor where you need, centre it etc etc? Thank you.

I’m trying to figure out which e-ink tablet to get as my first and I’m juggling between this, waiting for an A5X2, the go 10.3 by boox, or possibly a remarkable device if they have a new one down the line, but their subscription model definitely pushes me towards the former options. The main things I’m looking to do with device are note taking and reading documents for school. Do you think the Nomad would be sufficient for this or should I try a bigger device like the go 10.3 or a future A5X2?

Get a keyChrone and compare it and you will know what good keyboard are like.

I’m a teacher I have the option to buy a used a5x should I get that or buy a new nomad. Primarily looking to lesson plan and organize those as well as use the screen share for students.

I agree about the sound, too bass heavy and sibilant to me even if i EQ -10 bass and treble. Horribly unbalanced and bloated. I feel like everyone thinks Bose still produces a neutral sound because of their past sound signature, but man nowadays the bass amount takes me back to 2010 Beats by dre 😂

stumbled on this video as part of my rabbit hole headphone research, appreciate the perspective of long term usage. Do these headphones have fast forward / rewind capabilities if you triple tap and hold the action button? That's a feature I really like but couldn't find advertised

Offline text recognition + search, free cloud storage + 3rd party cloud sync options, screen sharing, and app side-loading are great features. The fact that all of this is available without a paid subscription is why I chose the supernote over remarkable.

This is super cool! You show it as a note taking device but I would love to one day replace or supplement my sketch book / kindle with the remarkable, it will fit right in next to my framework.
